Okay I’ve been dreading having to do this challenge. It’s been over 2 years since I’ve had a consistent workout routine. 2 years!!! I used to train every single day at Hourglass Workout and one small break lead to two years of no exercise, endless amounts of sugar, no water consumption and nightly fixes of wine + Cannoli. Shoutout to Jacobs Creek for getting me addicted to their White Moscato; I miss it already :(.

On a more positive note; it’s time to get fit! I have never gotten to the point of having abs. As soon as I seen them creeping in, I’d go celebrate with Mcdonalds french fries or a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich ( another horrible addiction). But all of that needs to come to a pause.

For the next 21 days I’ll be working on mastering me; both mentally and physically. I’ll be taking part in a fitness shred with the exception of 3 cheat days; I’m celebrating Thanksgiving in NYC, give me a break. The other 2 days …. I just need them LOL.

What the 21 days will look like:

  • Daily Meditation

  • 2-3L of water

  • Erika’s 6 week Shred Meal Plan

  • No sugar, bread, fast food, dairy

  • Daily exercise (Cardio/Weight Lifting)
    One weekly activity ( Spin Class, Pole Lesson, etc)

I’ve already taken my before photos and will be sharing them 21 days from now (with the hopes of seeing a difference haha)! Wish me luck! Or better yet; JOIN ME!

The Final Quarter of 2018 ; Get Yo' Shit Together !

Are you one of those individuals who make a major goal list every time you see the new year approaching? Do you post the “New Year, New Me” every time the countdown is occurring? How many times have you said, “I’ll start tomorrow!” Well cut it out. (This is a mental note for myself as well). Stop waiting for the next day, next minute or next year to get your shit together and do it now!

With the final quarter starting today I’ve decided it was the best time to help you (and myself) realign our goals, tackle those to do lists and START!

Here are 5 steps to help you get closer to your dreams:

1. ASK, BELIEVE, RECEIVE.

Still haven’t watched The Secret? Well you should probably start there. This movie has helped me with understanding the power of manifestation and I know it’ll help you; believe me, it works.

2. Set Goals for the next three months.

Want to get that body you’ve always dreamt off? Make more money? Take that dance class? Do it! Write out a list of everything you want to accomplish before 2019; or better yet, pull out that list from January if you created one. Organize the list based on the level of importance then go for it!

3. Create a vision board!

Not sure what that is? It’s all your goals and dreams either on a physical board or digital board so you can see exactly what is it you want/are working towards. These boards should be placed somewhere you can see consistently. Take a moment each day to look at your board and ask yourself if what you are currently doing is helping you get closer to those dreams. Look at it as your “why”.

4. Ask for help!

You probably created your goal list and asked yourself where you’re supposed to start; am I right? Well ask for help. Get a mentor, join BumbleBizz, Connect with new people on LinkedIn. Drop your ego, reach out to your community, speak up on social media; just put it out to the universe; you never know who’s listening!

4. Be grateful.

Although we all want overnight success let’s be real, success takes time. You have to be grateful through the journey and acknowledge your accomplishments along the way! If you rush to the finish line you may just miss the actual prize along the way. Take it one step at a time; You got this!
